DE-STRESS, FIND CALM & THRIVE

Your permission to pause.
Knowing how to meditate is one thing. Actually practising it is another.
If you’ve previously learned the basics of meditation and mindfulness but are finding you’re just not making time to do it – welcome – you’ve come to the right place.
Our weekly Zoom meditation group is the perfect mid-week antidote to the relentlessness of modern life.
And if you’re new to meditation altogether? Not to worry.
You can learn the foundations here.
PUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH ON TOP OF YOUR TO-DO LIST

Develop your meditation practice among a community of meditators… just like you.
While meditation is a deeply personal practice that’s simple to do; in our busy, modern lives, it’s not always easy to find the time to do it. It can be hard to stop and “do nothing” when there are just so many things that need doing.
Meditation can be done anytime, anywhere, it’s true. But like any skill that’s worthwhile pursuing, having the support, accountability and dedicated timeslot of a group and a teacher means you’ll enjoy the benefits of meditation that much quicker and more often.

Frequently Asked Questions
Classes start with us coming together on Zoom for a quick hello and check-in. We then settle in for a guided meditation, with the option to turn cameras off. There is a period of silent meditation. And we wrap things up with a final check-in, sharing of the meditation experience and a chat.
You’ll need a device installed with Zoom. A comfortable place to sit, lay down, stand, and sometimes, walk. Perhaps a blanket and warm clothes. A notebook and pen.
If you like to sit on the floor when meditating, a cushion to raise you up for crossed legs or a stool to help you kneel will make things more comfortable. But you don’t need to sit on the floor. You can sit on a regular kitchen/dining room chair (for a more upright position). You can relax back into a couch or sofa, perch yourself at the end of your bed or lay down on it. There are lots of options you can experiment with until you find one that suits.
I describe my style of meditation as modern mindfulness with a splash of compassion. The sorts of themes we practise are breath, body, sound, phrases, gratitude and acceptance. It’s an open and free approach to meditation where my guidance is merely suggestion and your experience is what counts.
When we share our experience of meditation we start to understand what a “normal” meditation can look and feel like. The chat at the end is also an opportunity to ask questions that the collective group can benefit from.
If you’ve experienced trauma or have a serious mental illness or condition, you should only participate in meditation under the advice of your doctor, psychologist or mental health professional.
Hi, I’m Bec, former stress-head and your accredited meditation teacher and mindfulness coach.

Hey there! I’m so pleased you’ve landed here. Once upon a time, I was stressed out, full of anxiety and was ill-equipped to deal with what modern life was dishing me. That is until I took my own first mindful breath back in 2012. I can’t wait to share with you all I’ve learned in my quest for a calmer, more content and happy life.
Cannot thank you enough for the techniques you taught us to help deal with our everyday battles.
